When do you launch?
We’re opening our barn doors in early 2027. Follow @indieyarnco for sneak peeks.
Where does your yarn come from?
Our focus is yarn grown and milled in the U.S. A few historic American mills that do heavy lifting for the fiber industry make the cut too. Every product page tells you where the fiber was grown and where it was milled.
What does “sheep to skein” mean?
The whole journey, from the animal to the finished yarn, happens here in the U.S.
Do you carry blends with nylon?
No. We carry natural fibers only, so you won’t find nylon or other synthetic blends here, even in sock yarn.
Do you carry superwash?
Not for now.
What about dyes?
Dye methods are still murky industry-wide. We tell you what we know and don’t know, skein by skein, and we never round up.
How much is shipping?
Free on orders over $100, and a flat $5 under $100.
What does “sustainable” mean here?
